Big projects require even greater foundations, a shared vision and commitment. With immense pride and joy, we can officially announce that the „New Sounds” Festival has gained institutional support that will allow us to rise to an even higher level.
On October 7, a letter of intent was signed between Poznań Science and Technology Park (PPNT) and Adam Mickiewicz University in Poznań (UAM). Under this agreement, both institutions officially joined forces, becoming co-organizers of our Festival. PPNT was represented by the President of the Adam Mickiewicz University Foundation and the Director of the Poznań Science and Technology Park – Prof. Hieronim Maciejewski, the Festival Director – Dr. Dominik Narożna, Prof. UAM, and the Artistic Director of the Festival – Maciej Muraszko. The University, on the other hand, was represented by the Rector J.M. Prof. Bogumiła Kaniewska and the Vice Rector Prof. Dr. Joanna Wójcik.

Do science and art go hand in hand?
It might seem that the academic world of lectures, technology, and research is distant from the stage. Nothing could be further from the truth! As noted by the Rector of the UAM, Prof. Dr. Hab. Bogumiła Kaniewska, the role of a modern university is not only educating students, but also actively initiating and creating culture. After all, a university is a vibrant community that, after hours spent in classrooms, needs space to develop, improve, and express itself.
What does that mean?
The formalities at the highest level are now behind us, and the organizational machinery is running at full speed. Our Festival is already in the works, and the first competition stages are ahead of us! During the period from October 15 to December 30, we will collect your submissions, along with recordings of your performances of the songs from the List of Works.

Keep an eye on our page, prepare your IDs and start collecting votes. With such partners on board, we are ready to create the most interesting student music event in Poland!
