About the festival
"New Whispers"

„New Sounds” is a nationwide student song festival aimed at soloists that will conclude with a final in Poznań in April 2027. The event strongly relies on its local roots – it is dedicated to the new sounds of songs from previous decades, and the competitive repertoire is based on the works of artists and bands from Poznań and Wielkopolska. The whole event combines the competition with artistic development: from the presentation of recordings, through auditions and work with musicians, to a performance before an audience.

We create the festival with the intention of helping students develop their vocal skills and discover their own way of interpreting musical pieces, giving them the title „New Voice”.

Submissions for "New Gossip"

Step 1: Choose 2 songs from our list

Browse the official List of Entry Works below. Choose exactly two songs from it that best suit your voice and style. You have 2 of the total 253 songs to choose from.

Step 2: Turn on the camera and start recording

Record separately the performances of two selected songs. Focus on the vocals and the emotions – your talent and authenticity count. You can record the recordings on your phone. An instrumental version of the piece can serve as the background music, or the accompaniment can be provided by the artist themselves or a third party.

Step 3: Upload the videos to YouTube

Upload the finished recordings to YouTube as two separate videos. The most important rule at this stage: make sure you set the status of both videos to „private.” This way, no one will accidentally see them, and only people with the link will have access to them.

Step 4: Send the form

Go to the form submission page. Enter your details, paste the links to the YouTube recordings, and attach a clear photo of a valid student ID. Click „Submit application” and you’re done. Now all that remains is to keep your fingers crossed and wait for the results!

The registration is free of charge. Recorded performances can only be performed in the form of a half-playback (i.e., the instrumental layer is played, and the vocals are performed in person), or with accompaniment performed independently or by a third party.
